Welcome to our Salon Policy FAQs. Below you’ll find detailed information about our policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our clients.
From booking confirmations to cancellations and everything in between, we aim to address any questions or concerns you might have.

No-Show Or Cancellation
We understand that things can come up. We value your time, and we hope you value ours, too. In the event you need to cancel your appointment, please be sure to notify us no later than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
All no-show clients and cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a $150 fee, or the full cost of the appointment, whichever is the lesser.
All no-show and late cancellation clients will be required to pay 50% deposit non-refundable for all future appointments at The Salon, and repeat offenders may be refused a future booking.
Booked services cannot be cancelled on the arrival of an appointment.
Late Arrivals
We know life can be unpredictable and if for any reason you are going to be late to your appointment, please notify us. We work hard to schedule the necessary amount of time needed for each service. Accommodating late arrivals is sometimes impossible without disrupting other clients’ scheduled appointments that day.
Please be aware that if you arrive more than 15 minutes late we cannot guarantee your full service will be performed that day. In some cases, we may need to reschedule your appointment altogether.
Booking Confirmation/Text Reminders
All clients will be sent a text message three days before their appointment.
Failure to confirm 24 hours before your appointment will result in the appointment being cancelled. Please call the salon if you need to reschedule.
Please note: it is an automated system and can only receive “YES” or “NO” responses, no personal messages, please.
Online Booking
At The Salon, we aim to simplify your booking process. If you encounter difficulty booking online, please contact us directly at the salon for assistance. Our team is here to ensure your appointment scheduling is convenient and hassle-free.
New Clients
For all new clients to obtain a quote, please schedule a free consultation at The Salon.
All new clients will be required a $50-$100 deposit to secure their first appointment, which will be deducted from the cost of the actual appointment.
Deposit will only be refunded or transferred when more than 48-hours notice is provided for cancellations.
Consultations
At our salon, we prioritize thorough consultations for all services. We rely on our clients to provide honest information about their hair history to ensure the best results. Please understand that any damage caused by undisclosed information during consultation is the sole responsibility of the client, not the stylist or the salon.
Illness
We ask that you please be considerate of staff and other clients and DO NOT come to your appointment if you are unwell. We will work with you to reschedule it.
Health Issues
For your comfort and safety, please notify us before your appointment if you have allergies, any physical issues, or disabilities, if you are pregnant or on any medication. If you experience discomfort or any other symptoms during the treatment, please alert us immediately.
Salon Service Pricing
All prices include GST. All prices are subject to variation without notice.
Our prices reflect the expertise of our stylists, quality products, and service complexity. Estimates are provided during consultations. Prices may vary based on hair length and thickness. We communicate pricing updates in advance.
Parking
Cammeray Square provides complimentary two-hour undercover parking, accessible from Amherst Street with direct access to the Centre.
Additionally, street parking in the vicinity typically allows for one to two hours of free parking. Certain streets offer unrestricted free parking with no time limits.
Refunds
We take extra care to ensure that you have a fantastic hair experience both with your styling and in salon. Your stylist will take time to consult with you before your service to understand your requirements and will do what she/he can to meet your expectations.
If for any reason you are not 100% happy with your experience please contact the salon within 7 days of your appointment to discuss your concerns. If suitable a revisit of your services may be offered to you as per the salon manager/owners’ direction.
After 7 days, rebooking is required, and costs may apply.
Products may be exchanged if unopened and in original packaging. Refunds are not provided for changes of mind; additional charges may apply for new requests.
Right To Refuse Service
We prioritise creating a safe and welcoming environment for all our clients and staff. Our team reserves the right to refuse service to anyone behaving improperly, intoxicated, or whose state of health may compromise the quality or safety of the service.
Additionally, we do not tolerate verbal abuse or disrespectful behavior towards our staff or other clients. Any instances of rudeness or aggression will result in immediate refusal of service and may be subject to further action.
